At the moment, I am working very hard to produce Shelton Boxer's first Champion.  When I was first getting started I did not know how to show dogs myself.  In order to learn about the show ring and do the best I could for my Boxers, I sent Spain and Luigi off with Jack Brown, a professional handler who lives in Alabama.  Jack and his wife Bridget work so well as a team and my thanks go to them for getting things started for me. Through my experience with Jack, I have learned a lot about the show ring and building my kennel.  In May, Luigi came home to grow up some while Spain remained with Jack.  I missed Spain very much as she was gone on the show circuit for several months.  After the 2002 Salem Va. circuit, Spain also came home to take a break and produce the first generation of Shelton Boxers.

The competition for conformation points for Boxers is very high.  Through my experiences with a professional handler and going to shows I decided to get into the ring myself.  On Aug. 30, 2002, I made my debut with Spain in Greensboro, NC.  I enjoyed it so much that I plan to continue to be an owner handler. 

Currently we are awaiting the new shows coming locally to show off our puppies out of a litter sired by Luigi.  We have 2 ourselves, one co-owned by Shaunesy Story in Efland and another plain boy who is co-owned with Jason Moser in Elkin, NC. 

We have recently acquired a new puppy from Pacifica Boxers that will reside in California and will be shown by Audra Nescher McLaughlin in conformation.  I have waited a long time for a little brindle girl (Pacifica's Pride and Joy-"P J") and now that is a 
dream come true!
