Here
are some basic tips on what I am looking for when
I
start to design a new site....
I
will first tell you that everyone has to have a domain name and hosting
to get started. A domain name is the (www.forexample.com) that you
need for people to locate you. The domain service I utilize charges
10 dollars per year, which is renewed annually or multiple years.
Then
one must have a host. This is the space that your Web Site resides on for
people to view the pages. The hosting service I utilize costs 5 dollars
per month, renewed annually or for multiple years. (Price subject to change
but it has been around this price for many years)
You
may use a free host, but with multiple hits it will close down and will
also display those aggravating banner ads!
I
need for you to pick out a background layout that you like.
Each
Web Site in my portfolio has listed below it, the type of background used.
I
also need you to decide what type pages you want on your site and what
colors you like best to use for it.
The
more pictures you want on a page, the slower it loads. I remember when
I was still on dialup, I often times clicked off the site if it didn't
load like I wanted it to! Therefore, losing people to other sites.
I
recommend using 10 or less pictures per page for optimal download time.
I optimize the photos for proper download time, yet the use of many will
still slow down the process.
My
sites are built on a screen resolution of 800x600. Please change
your settings within your computer's control panel to view at optimal resolution.
My
designs are not limited to the Boxer Breed... all other breeds welcome
as well as small business or hobby.
