Here are some basic tips on what I am looking for when 
I start to design a new site....

I will first tell you that everyone has to have a domain name and hosting to get started.  A domain name is the (www.forexample.com) that you need for people to locate you.  The domain service I utilize is less than 10 dollars per year. Renewed annually.

Then one must have a host. This is the space that your Web Site resides on for people to view the pages.  The hosting service I utilize costs less than 40 dollars per year.  Renewed annually.
You may use a free host, but with multiple hits it will close down and will also display those aggravating banner ads! 

I need for you to pick out a background layout that you like. 
Each Web Site in my portfolio has listed below it, the type of background used.

I also need you to decide what type pages you want on your site and what colors you like best to use for it.

Each home page, which is entitled, the "index page", will include with no extra charge, the guestbook and counter, and music if desired but will slow down the loading of the page, especially noted in computers still on dial-up.
The guestbook and counter have banner ads, but can be changed to no banners for a small yearly fee. 
Otherwise, their services are free.

Another issue would be pictures.  The more pictures you want on a page, the slower it loads. I remember when I was still on dialup, I often times clicked off the site if it didn't load like I wanted it to!  Therefore, losing people to other sites. 
I recommend using 10 or less pictures per page for optimal download time.

My sites are built on a screen resolution of 800x600.  Please change your settings within your computer's control panel to view at optimal resolution.

My designs are not limited to the Boxer Breed... all other breeds welcome as well as commercial sites.
